Betting Tips for Premier League - Gameweek 32+

A NORTH LONDON DOUBLE

Usually Tottenham and Arsenal try to avoid each other as best they can and any interaction is simply limited to the two Premier League North London derbies and any cup competitions that sees them paired together.

While it is pairing them together, which becomes the order of the day over the next gameweek and with both teams searching for a win to keep their Europa League qualification hopes alive, a double may provide some decent value.

Arsenal go up against a hapless Norwich side, who are now looking down the barrel as far as relegation is concerned and with the Gunners getting the better of Southampton on Thursday, Mikel Arteta's men will certainly have their tails up.

While Tottenham travel to Bramall Lane and face a Sheffield United side who have been severely impacted by the three-month hiatus, almost to the point where ‘Second Season Syndrome' has arrived earlier than anticipated.

The Blades have been undoubtedly blunted since the restart and have picked up just a point from the first nine that have been on offer and because of this rut in form, their own hopes of Europa League qualification have subsequently diminished.

Arsenal's clash with Norwich should be the banker in this two legged affair, while Tottenham will admittedly have a bit more work to do. With that said, a double at odds of 2.08 should certainly not be overlooked.
Summary: Back both North London outfits to win and double up

THE TROPHY IS PASSED OVER

Manchester City and Liverpool round off this gameweek and although the latter have won the Premier League title at an absolute canter, there is a shame that this usually titanic clash now resembles more of a shipwreck.

For Pep Guardiola and his players, it will be a changing of the guard as the new king in town shows off its crown and although there is little to play for in terms of high stakes, there could be a high amount of goals.

In fairness, this now becomes one of the richest dead rubbers in English football and with nothing on the line (bar perhaps, Liverpool looking to break City's point scoring record), it might be a chance to rest and rotate key players.

Then again, both Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp are serial winners and neither will be treating this encounter as an end of season jolly. Which means, even if the cast looks different, the plotline will ultimately stay the same.

Picking a winner could be something of a fruitless task, as the propensity for lineup changes will be high. Therefore, backing both teams to score seems like a bit of a doozy and at odds of 1.55, it is certainly worth adding to your gameweek accumulator.
Summary: Back goals at either end at the Etihad

BUZZING HORNETS STING THE SAINTS

After defeat to Burnley, Watford's survival hopes may have taken a dent on Thursday and although there would have been disappointment at not getting anything from their trip to Turf Moor, the hope is for better times on their own turf.

Nigel Pearson's men go up against Southampton on Sunday and with the Saints having very little to play for the rest of the season, this could be a game that provides the Hornets with a huge survival lifeline.

Watford were impressive against Leicester in their last home outing and were decent value for the hard-earned point they picked up late on. With that said, it is not draws that will keep them up, it is turning them into wins.

Southampton failed to build on their win over Norwich on Thursday night and with them having increasingly less to play for, questions remain regarding their aptitude levels for Sunday's clash with Watford.

If the Saints defend as they did in the first 20 minutes against Arsenal, Watford will find themselves getting plenty of joy and if that joy can be converted into goals, there's no reason why the hosts cannot pick up maximum points.

Watford have certainly turned things around since the start of the season, although now is not the time to undo all their hard work under Nigel Pearson and at odds of 2.50, it shouldn't be hard work to back them to win this weekend.
Summary: Watford to beat Southampton and boost their survival hopes.
