Betting Tips for Premier League - Gameweek 26

FOXES SILENCE THE MISFIRING GUNNERS

While although Leicester have earned 10 points from the last 12 on offer, it has done little to improve their chances of winning this season's Premier League and with Manchester City riding off into the distance, the objective is to now secure a top-four finish.

Something that last season looked a dead cert and after suffering an incredible collapse in the final phase of the campaign, Brendan Rodgers' men had to make do with a fifth-place finish and Europa League football instead.

With the Foxes starting the weekend in third place, the aim is to solidify what they already have and the best way to do that, is by getting the better of an Arsenal side that seems to be moving one step forward and two steps back.

Then again, the picture is perhaps a little bit worse than that and with the Gunners having lost three of their last four league outings, it suggests that there is still some work to be done by Mikel Arteta and his players.

The North London outfit were second best against Manchester City, although in fairness, a lot of teams will have suffered that fate and now it is a case of looking at the positives from their recent Emirates meeting.

The critical mistake was giving City a 1-0 head start, although it is not something that they can afford to hand to Leicester either and with the goal threat of Harvey Barnes becoming more pertinent as of late, backing the Foxes to win at odds of 2.45 comes highly recommended.
Summary: Back Leicester to win.

LIVERPOOL FINALLY RETURN TO WINNING WAYS

There's no doubt that Liverpool have offered a rather meek defence of their Premier League title and it is also fair to say that since the turn of the year, the Anfield outfit have had a rather bleak mid-winter.

To the point where, the soon to be former Premier League champions have lost all their last four league outings and because of this a top-four finish at the end of the season, is looking a rather distant prospect.

However, this weekend could offer Jurgen Klopp and his players the perfect opportunity in which to finally get their season back on track and with them facing basement side Sheffield United at Bramall Lane, they will look to pick up a first league win in five attempts.

Although Sheffield United are not yet mathematically relegated, their hopes of survival will have only further diminished after defeat to Fulham last weekend and with the Blades now 14 points from safety, it would need the greatest of escapes to avoid the drop in May.

That's not to say the Yorkshire outfit will not keep on fighting, it's just that their fight has been rather futile at times and even though Liverpool have been dogged an abysmal injury record, they should have enough to pick up all three points this weekend.
Summary: Back Liverpool to win at 1.36.

SAINTS FIND THEMSELVES IN A STICKY SITUATION

With Everton coming out on top in the Merseyside derby, it has given Carlo Ancelotti's men a huge confidence boost and now the Toffees will look to use this is a platform for European qualification at the end of the season.

This weekend, sees them play host to Southampton and although the hard work was certainly carried out against Liverpool last weekend, a lack of consistency has been Everton's downfall throughout the campaign.

Which means manager Ancelotti will have to make sure last Saturday's efforts are not in vain and with the visit of a struggling Saints side, the expectation will be to continue the positive momentum at Goodison Park.

If only because Southampton are currently going through a wretched run of form at present and when you consider that Ralph Hasenhuttl's men have only picked up 1 point from the last 24 on offer, that is going to be a huge concern to the Austrian.

Such is the run of form that Southampton have recorded as of late, Everton will be considered huge favourites in this one and if they formbook is adhered to, odds of 2.15 should be considered a rather handsome reward.
Summary: Back Everton to win this weekend.
