NORTH LONDON DERBY DAY

The first North London derby of the season will soon be upon and it is fair to say that the tables have turned in the capital. No longer are Tottenham in the shadow of their nearest rivals, instead they are creating a shadow of their own.

With Jose Mourinho's men starting the weekend at the top of the table, it is a position that they will look to keep hold of come the final whistle and although you would have to make the side from N17 as the favourites, the formbook always has a habit of going out the window.

Which is something that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will be clutching onto going into this game and with the Gunners lying in an unfamiliar 14th position after week 10 of the season, the pressure is beginning to build on the former Manchester City assistant.

There has been a lot of talk about trusting the process at the Emirates and if Arsenal are going to achieve some form of long-term gain, they may have to suffer a substantial amount of short-term pain.

Then again, this is a team that won the F.A. Cup last season and has a habit of pulling out a result when you don't expect them to, which means picking an overall outcome in this game may prove too tough to call.

Therefore, the goal markets are always the better options on days such as these and with Harry Kane at Evens to score anytime and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang the slightly longer 2.60 to do the same, depending on your club loyalties will decide where your weekend wager goes.
Summary: Back Kane and or Aubameyang to score in the 90.

FOXES BITE BACK

Last weekend certainly did not go to plan for Brendan Rodgers and his Leicester charges, as they suffered a surprising home defeat to Fulham and in doing so, spurned the chance to go joint top of the Premier League table.

With an opportunity missed, all Leicester can do is bounce back as soon as possible and with a trip to Sheffield United on the horizon, the Blades may end up being the perfect opposition in which to do so.

Chris Wilder's men suffered another defeat on Saturday, as they fell to West Brom in a game that was labelled as a “sack race eliminator” and although the 53-year-old is still in charge for now, there cannot be much more left in the way of additional chances.

While when it comes to chances, this is something that Sheffield United have created but failed to put away and when you consider the perfect state of equilibrium this club found themselves in last season, this is no longer the case.

Conceding more goals and scoring less is a recipe for football disaster and it is these ingredients which Leicester hope will be in the mix this weekend. Should that prove to be the case, the visitors at Evens looks like being a shrewd piece of business.
Summary: Back Leicester to win at 2.00

THE BAGGIES CONTINUE TO BOUNCE

After earning their first win of the season against Sheffield United last Saturday, West Brom will obviously have the taste for more and with Crystal Palace offering the first fixture in their football advent calendar, the Eagles may just provide the perfect opposition.

That's because Roy Hodgson's men are no longer soaring and after suffering three defeats from their last four outings, the South London outfit are now looking over their shoulders rather than up the table.

While it is further up the table that West Brom will look to be come the end of the weekend and if Slaven Bilic can serve up more misery for his more senior counterpart, there is every chance that the Baggies could be out of the bottom three.

The Midlands outfit have picked up five of their six points at the Hawthorns and it is ability to pick up points which should serve them well this weekend, even though Palace have won two of their five away days this season.

This will not be a pretty game to watch and will be one for the purists. However, if West Brom do win and pull themselves closer to Crystal Palace, it may start to add some pressure to the wise owl which is Roy Hodgson.
Summary: Back the Baggies at 2.80
