Wednesday Feb 24 Fantasy Champions League Tips For Daily Fantasy Football Betting

Share post on:
Fantasy Champions League Round of 16 commences on February 24rd as Manchester City make the tough trip to Ukraine to play Dynamo Kiev, and PSV welcome Atletico Madrid to the Philips Stadion. The small slate means less variance amongst daily fantasy teams, which subsequently increases the importance of calling the clean sheets, goal scorers and differentials. Once again we are back to provide daily fantasy football tips for the Mondogoal and FantasyBet contests. As usual, we've taken a look at what the bookies are predicting to give a rough indication of what's expected from these fixtures. The table below displays the bookies odds converted into an implied chance percentage:
Team To Win 2+ Goals Clean Sheet
Dynamo Kiev 28.57% 34.72% 27.78%
Manchester City 44.44% 47.62% 35.71%
PSV 20.00% 23.09% 25.00%
Atletico Madrid 54.05% 47.62% 46.51%
Atletico Madrid lead the way in terms of clean sheet potential. The fact that PSV have never scored more than two goals in their last 36 Champions League games plays a part, however, Diego Simeone's rigid approach has seen his side secure 11 shutouts in their last 15 Champions League matches. They have been a force to be reckoned with away from home this season - conceding just five times on the road in La Liga, compared to six at home. Filipe Luis looks to have rediscovered the form which saw him earn a move to Chelsea in the summer of 2015, with back-to-back Man of the Match performances in La Liga. The Brazilian fullback loves to bomb forward and whip crosses in, and with livewire Antoine Greizmann ready to pounce in the box, an assist seems likely. As Manchester City are second favourites for a clean sheet, we look to Vincent Kompany for possible coverage. Captain for club and country the centre-back leads by example and reads the game intelligently. This allows him to pick up interception and tackle points with ease, while he is always danger at set-piece situations with his robust stature. Kompany offers great value in comparison to his teammates, especially on Mondogoal. Our slightly more risky recommendation is Danilo Silva. Even though Dynamo Kiev haven't played a competitive match since their 1-0 win over Maccabi Tel Aviv, the Premier Liga Champions will be difficult to break down. They've found the net 65 times in the 2015/16 league campaign so far this season, while conceding just 12 at the other end. Silva is their most attacking defender, as highlighted with nine assists last season.   Luis: Mondogoal (£10.5m), FantasyBet (£6.0m) Kompany: Mondogoal (£7.0m), FantasyBet (£6.5m) Silva: Mondogoal (£7.2m), FantasyBet (£5.0m)   The table below highlights two key-players from each side who have impressed during the group stage and have the skillset to be influential in their side's quest for progression.
Player Mins Goals Assists
Griezmann 467 4 1
Koke 352 0 0
Sterling 435 3 1
Aguero 166 1 0
Yarmolenko 378 2 0
Propper 540 1 0
Commonly known for their defensive prowess, Atletico Madrid scored an impressive 11 goals during qualification with Antoine Griezmann scoring four of them and assisting one. The French forward hasn't scored in his last five games in all competitions and will be desperate to end that against PSV. Diego Simeone subbed off Griezmann on the 62nd minute against Villarreal, a clear sign of the Argentineans intention to give the 24-year-old adequate time. In midfield Koke posses a creative threat, despite his 0 goals or assists in the Champions League, the Spaniard has seven assists and three goals in La Liga. Deployed both as a left and central midfielder, Koke constantly looks for the ball and tries to pick out the perfect pass for the run of his striker. A real gem in this Atletico side with creative blood throwing through his veins. With three goals in the Champions League group stages Raheem Sterling is Manchester City's top scorer in the competition this season. The Englishman is going to have to be on top of his game against Kiev, the Ukrainian side conceded just two goals at home in the Group Stages. It's almost impossible to overlooked Sergio Aguero, the Manchester City striker has 14 Premier League goals this season, it's also important to note he was injured for the majority of the Group Stages, this explains his low scoring numbers. The Argentinian has the potential to score in every match he plays in, making him a solid selection for DFF. Andriy Yarmolenko caused Chelsea and Porto a lot of problems in the Group Stages and is one of Europe's most sought after wingers. His pace and directness makes him a nightmare to deal with for opposition defenders. Having scored eight league goals in 15 games and two in five Champions League games he provides a dangerous attacking threat. For PSV, central midfielder Davy Propper provides attacking potential, having scored seven goals in 24 Eredivisie games this season, also assisting four goals and averaging 2.1 shots per game. For a midfielder these numbers are very impressive and the 24-year-old will be hoping he can add to his European tally in this tricky tie.   Griezmann: Mondogoal (£9.1m), FantasyBet (£12.0m) Koke: Mondogoal (£11.8m), FantasyBet (£8.5m) Sterling: Mondogoal (£8.9m), FantasyBet (£8.5m) Aguero: Mondogoal (£14.5m), FantasyBet (£13.0m) Yarmolenko: Mondogoal (£11.4m), FantasyBet (£7.5m) Propper: Mondogoal (£9.8m), FantasyBet (£6.5m)
