Clean Sheet Potential

The bookies across the country are indicating that, Manchester United, Chelsea, Southampton, Liverpool and Watford are the five most teams likely to keep a clean sheet this weekend.

Goalkeeper Tips

It's fair to say that so far this season the form of Liverpool has been indifferent. In the opening weeks they looked a solid team whose new signings were settling in well. More recently and following draws against Norwich, Bordeaux and Carlisle respectively things are looking a little bleaker for Brendan Rodgers side. He will be looking to bounce back against Aston Villa this weekend. Their Belgian keeper Simon Mingolet (FPL; 5.1m, MondoGoal; 7.4m FantasyBet; 5.0m) will be looking to keep his first clean sheet since gameweek 3. Many expected David de Gea (FPL; 5.4m MondoGoal; 6.6m FantasyBet; 5.5m) to be in the Spanish version of Fantasy Football this summer, but the shot stopper has stayed at Old Trafford and is now showing the world why Real Madrid wanted to sign him. His impressive display last weekend against Southampton reminded us all just how good the Spaniard is. Things are looking bright for United this week as they face winless Sunderland at home.

Defender Tips

Chelsea seem to have fixed their defensive issues, keeping their first clean sheet of the season against Arsenal last weekend. Their fullback Cesar Azpilicueta (FPL; 6.0m MondoGoal; 9.0m FantasyBet; 6.0m) has been featuring regularly this season for Jose Mourinho's side. This weekend they travel to Newcastle who have just come off the back of a midweek defeat against Sheffield Wednesday and look both deflated and uncreative. Chelsea will be looking to keep another clean sheet this weekend. At the start of the season Southampton lost their first choice defender in the shape of Nathaniel Clyne. They replaced him adequately with Portuguese youngster Cedric Soares (FPL; 5.0m MondoGoal; 7.4m FantasyBet;5.0m) the right back has been very impressive since his debut against Newcastle in the first game of the season. He missed out on a starting place last week to Maya Yoshida but looks set to return to the starting 11 against Swansea this weekend. Finally completing the defender tips is Phil Jagielka (FPL; 5.4m MondoGoal; TBC, FantasyBet; 5.5m) so far this season Everton have kept three clean sheets with Jagielka leading their line. The Englishman has been an ever present in the Everton side for years and has also been incredibly consistent during that time. This weekend Everton travel to West Brom in this weeks Monday night football. Tony Pulis' side have only scored four goals this season the second lowest in the league. In a tough away game the first thing Everton will look to do is lock down their defence.

Attacking Potential

Looking back and the bookies odds, they are suggesting that, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, West Ham and Manchester United are the five most likely teams to score this weekend.

Midfielder Tips

Dimitri Payet (FPL; 7.8m MondoGoal; 14.4m FantasyBet; 7.5m) has taken to English football like a duck to water. His three goals and two assists have helped West Ham become a real dangerous side to play against. His creativity is imperative to his side and almost everything West Ham does goes through the Frenchman. He could well become fixture proof after producing assists against Manchester City and Arsenal away. There seems to be some controversy around Mesut Ozil (FPL; 8.4m MondoGoal; 10.9m FantasyBet; 8.5m) many believe he goes missing during games and that he is massively overrated. We feel that it is in fact the opposite, the German creates so many chances but he is just missing that world class striker to finish off his passes that would see his assist to game ratio rise. Oliver Giroud misses so many chances and subsequently affects Ozil. He's a creative outlet for Arsenal and with Theo Walcott picking up some form we could begin to see Ozil's assists and possibly goals increase. Next up is Chelsea's new boy Pedro (FPL; 9.5m MondoGoal; 6.7m FantasyBet; 9.5m) since his move from Barcelona the Spanish midfielder has won ever Chelsea fans. On his debut he both scored and assisted, whilst in his second game he picked up an assist against Crystal Palace. In the following two games he's been ineffective. This week he picked up another goal in Chelsea's Capital One Cup win over League 1 Walsall. Yes it was only a weaker side and they were not Premier League quality but it will give Pedro confidence going into the weekend. Newcastle are not the most reliable side defensively which should work in Pedro's favour. Recently Theo Walcott (FPL; 8.5m MondoGoal; 10.7m FantasyBet 8.5m) has been featuring more as a striker than a midfielder. This really does benefit his chances of scoring tenfold. The amount of creative players behind him, the likes of Ozil, Sanchez and Ramsey will be providing him with though balls. The pace of the Englishman helps him get in behind defences, if he can get some chances this weekend against Leicester he could be a gem for both FPL and the daily game. Once again completing the midfield tips is Philippe Coutinho (FPL; 8.1m MondoGoal; 10.9m FantasyBet; 8.0m) there is something about the Liverpool man that makes him very interesting in fantasy football terms. He is probably Liverpool's most creative player and he seems to make things tick for them. He can produce magic out of thin air with his snapshots. Aston Villa are yet to prove themselves as a stubborn side at the back and Coutinho will be looking to expose the gaps in their defence.

Forward Tips

The most transferred player in this week is none other than Anthony Martial (FPL; 8.3m MondoGoal; 5.0m FantasyBet; 8.0m) ever since his move to Manchester United he has been proving critics wrong. In the league he has scored three goals in two games whilst he also picked up a goal in the Capital One Cup. There seems to be such hype around the forward and rightly so he's a very good player. He's a very good at beating his man and his finishing looks spotless at the moment. As we know Sunderland are very poor which should see Martial have a lot of chances. The injury to Christian Benteke means that Danny Ings (FPL;7.1m MondoGoal: 9.1m, FantasyBet; 7.0m) is going to see a lot more game time than initially thought. He scored last weekend against Norwich and also picked up a goal against Carlisle midweek. This is going to give the striker plenty of confidence going into the weekend when they come up against Aston Villa. We saw at Burnley he is a very good finisher and will need to step up to the plate in order to prove something to manager Rodgers.
