Clean Sheet Potential

A look at the bookies odds are suggesting that Barcelona, Real Madrid, Getafe, Sevilla and Celta Vigo are the five most likely teams to keep a clean sheet this weekend. You could consider this when you are selecting your team(s) this weekend.

 Goalkeeper Tips

Claudio Bravo is currently out injured, which leaves the starting jersey open for Marc-Andre ter Stegen (7.6m) the German had a nightmare midweek conceding four goals against Celta Vigo. Barcelona have not kept a clean sheet since their 1-0 win over Malaga at the end of August something the club will be looking to change. If you don't fancy the Barcelona shot stopper then why not consider Sevilla's Rico (6.5m) Sevilla have been very unimpressive this season and currently sit bottom of La Liga with no wins and two goals scored. Unai Emery is adamant to sort his defensive issues out and iron out the creases in his back line. Playing at home against Rayo Vallecano gives him the perfect chance to do this. Following the bookies odds you could opt for Vicente Guaita (3.5m) of Getafe who will play hosts to Levante this weekend. Les Granotes don't travel very well having only won three of their games on the road last season, scoring 14 goals in the process. Getafe have the chance to impress the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez faithful if they can both win and keep a clean sheet this weekend.

Defender Tips

It's fair to say that Celta have been very impressive so far this season. They tend to attack down the wings, that gives Hugo Mallo (7.0m) a high chance of producing assists. So far this season he has picked up three including two in the win over Barcelona. The 24-year-old has a fantastic delivery on him and the Celta forwards currently on top form Mallo's assists could rise. It's hard to ignore Real Madrid defenders. They come up against Malaga this weekend who are yet to score a goal this season. There are plenty of options to go with and it could really be down to personal preference. Firstly you have Marcelo (11.7m) and Dani Carvajal (8.8m) who both produce width from full backs and have a high chance of collecting assists. Otherwise you may want to consider Raphael Varane (7.9m) who is expected to start in defence, as Sergio Ramos remains an injury doubt. It's a pleasure to see Filipe Luis (7.8m) back playing regular football. His spell at Chelsea was short lived and although he won a double he didn't really feature that much. Now back where he's loved Luis will be keen to recapture his form which saw him earn his move to England in the first place. A very strong tackler who has an eye for a pass, Luis could be a gem this weekend. Finally how about Alberto Lora (TBC) of Sporting Gijon. The bookies have Gijon just outside the top five to keep a clean sheet this weekend. He was dropped out of the starting 11 last weekend but managed to receive 47 minutes due to a red card to Bernardo Espinosa. Gijon are expected to line up with Lora at right back with Hernandez at CB.

Attacking Potential

Looking back at the bookies odds suggest that Barcelona, Real Madrid, Celta Vigo, Sevilla and Deportivo are the five most likely teams to score this weekend. Atletico Madrid and Sporting Gijon come just outside the top five. It wouldn't be the worst idea to select the basis of your attack around these players.

Midfielder Tips

The injury James Rodriguez means more of the midfield creativity will rely on Isco (10.6m) The 23-year-old comes up against his former club this weekend and his dribbling and ability to hold onto the ball will be key to unlocking the Malaga defence. He currently has two assists to his name and will be looking to extend that against Malaga. Repetition, repetition, repetition Celta Vigo are currently in fantastic form. Playing a key role in that is Chilean Fabian Orellana (11.6m) He usually features as a right forward in a 4-3-3 formation but is currently listed as a midfielder on MondoGoal. One of the strengths of his game is his crossing and currently has two goals and two assists to his name. You have to scratch your eyes sometimes when you see Raul Garcia (5.9m) in an Athletic Club Bilbao shirt. He spent eight years at Atletico Madrid before moving to the Basque club. He picked up a goal on his debut against Getafe but has been quiet since that. Real Sociedad have conceded four goals this season and Moyes' is currently walking thin ice. Garcia will be looking to push Moyes further into the rink. Finally completing the midfielders is Fajr (8.2m) of Deportivo La Coruna. He will slot in behind the striker for Depor and will be keen to add to his one goal and one assist this weekend against Espanyol. The White and Blue have conceded 11 goals this season something Fajr will be looking to add to, be it a goal or an assist.

Forward Tips

Once again we are tipping Antoine Griezmann (10.3m) he is getting better and better this season and is currently looking like the go to man for goals at Atletico. He has three in the league and two in the Champions League whilst he has two assists in La Liga. His finishing is a massive strength to his game but he also becomes selfless returning assists in favour of his team mates. If you can't afford Griezmann then the budget option of Fernando Torres (4.4m) might be a cheap gem for you. He will be pushing Jackson Martinez for a starting position but Simone seems to trust Torres. He has two goals and an assist to his name this season and will want to add to that against Villarreal. Oh Barcelona how you cause us Daily Fantasy Football problems. The front three on offer to us cause headaches each weekend when you try fit all three into your side. Well we like the look of Luis Suarez (14.3m) this weekend. He plays as the central forward in the 4-3-3 and will be looking to add to his one goal so far this season. Nolito (15.0m) has been the leagues best player. His five goals and three assists have made European clubs aware of the wingers talent. Many believe he is to good for Celta but the fans won't worry about that if he keeps up his fantastic form. The Eibar defence is not the most stubborn, we could well see Nolito add to his goal scoring tally. Imanol Agirretxe (8.8m) is currently the man in form at Real Sociedad. He picked up a hat-trick against Granada in midweek, that will help improve his confidence tenfold. With Moyes' looking to keep his job the Spaniard will be imperative if Sociedad are to win. Finally is the veteran Aduriz (11.9m) who like a fine wine gets better with age. He's very good in the air and knows where the back of the net is and without a doubt will be up for the Basque derby this weekend. Join us next week for another round of La Liga Fantasy Football Tips.
