Clean Sheet Potential

The bookies across the country are indicating that Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Valencia and Real Sociedad are the five most likely teams to keep a clean sheet this weekend. Sitting just outside the top five are Deportivo La Coruna, Villarreal and Las Palmas. It wouldn't be the worst idea to select your goalkeepers and defenders from the following teams if it suits you financially.

 Goalkeeper Tips

Saturday Real Madrid are yet to concede a goal this season. They've been defensively strong and their first choice keeper Keylor Navas (Mondogoal: 12.8m) has played a role in this achievement. The Costa Rican international has been on fine form in the opening gameweeks, possibly proving to Florentino Perez that David de Gea wasn't needed? With Madrid welcoming Granada to the Bernabeu Navas looks set to keep another clean sheet. A quick train journey down the road is Atletico Madrid and their Slovenian keeper Jan Oblak (Mondogoal: 9.7m.) Since Thibaut Courtois' loan spell finished Oblak has been the number one choice for Diego Simone. So far this season Atletico Madrid has kept two clean sheets, one of which came against Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium. Notoriously Sevilla rarely concede at their home ground. Atletico travel to Eibar this weekend amongst their expectations will be a clean sheet. Whilst this is not a player tip it's some advice we believe you should be aware of. Both Mat Ryan and Diego Alves of Valencia are out injured therefore wont be available for the foreseeable future. Last weekend in Valencia's 1-0 win over Sportong Gijon, Nuno opted for Juame Domenech who is not on the Mondogoal player selections. It would probably be a wise idea to stay away from the Valencia keepers. Sunday Sitting pretty at the top of the league is current Champions Barcelona. They have the only 100% record in the league and whilst they haven't set the word alight going forward they have been resilient defensively. Claudio Bravo (Mondogoal 11.2m) has continued his fine form from the 2014-15 season. He has only conceded the one goal in what is a relatively new back line with the likes of Sergi Roberto occupying the right back role replacing the injured Dani Alves and Thomas Vermaelen finally getting some minutes after last seasons injury. As we saw in the Spanish Super Cup their new look defence struggled with the Athletic Club Bilbao attack conceding five goals over 180 minutes. Barcelona welcome Levante this Sunday who have only put one goal past Barcelona in the last five games at the Camp Nou. Bravo looks the main choice this weekend however Raul Lizoain (Mondogoal: 5.9m) of Las Palmas a great chance to keep a clean sheet this weekend. Las Palmas' number one Javi Varas was sent off this weekend meaning he will miss this weekends game paving the way for Lizoain. Rayo Vallecano are without a win this season but currently sit 13th after two draws and a defeat so far this season. This weekend they play hosts to Rayo Vallecano who are in 19th with one point and more importantly they've only scored the one goal, which we are sure is music to the ears of Paco Herrera. The final goalkeeper tip is Deportivo's German Lux (Mondogoal: 6.2m) the veteran shot stopper has started every game this season for La Coruna and is a nailed on starter for this weekends game against Sporting Gijon. Their opponents are yet to score a goal this season showing a lack of goal threat in any of their three matches in La Liga. If they don't get their act together soon they'll struggle to remain in the league.

Defender Tips

First up is Jose Gaya (Mondogoal: 8.7m) of Valencia. Last season the left back was one of the most exciting players in Spain. Many expected the 20-year-old to leave the Mestalla Stadium for a bigger club. They managed to retain his services for this season a very wise decision from the club. Gaya has played twice this season and featured once in the Champions League, he is a very attacking fullback whose pace causes problems for defenders. The Real Betis defence isn't the most solid conceding six goals in the league this season whilst scoring two in the process. So far this season the Real Madrid defence has been faultless. Sergio Ramos (Mondogoal: 9.8m) looks great value for the weekend. You should really try take advantage of his cheap price as he comes in at just under 10 million allowing you to spend money elsewhere. Madrid are yet to concede a goal this season both in the league and the Champions League with Sergio Ramos featuring in all of these games. This weekend against Granada, Ramos should be picking up another clean sheet. Completing the Saturday tips for Saturday is Diego Godin (Mondogoal: 7.4m) it's well known that Godin is one of the best defenders in the world and in some senses he is overlooked and underrated by some pundits. Those who watch Godin however will back up that statement. The Uruguayan defender reads the game very well and his positioning is always spot on. He also produces a goal threat in the attacking third from set pieces and coming in at 7.4m for a defender of his quality looks a great signing for any Daily Fantasy Football side. Sunday Last season Thomas Vermaelen (Mondogoal 7.8m) had a torrid season only featuring in the last game of the season due to injury. This season he is proving exactly why Barcelona chose to sign him from Arsenal last summer. The Belgian defender has slotted right into the Barcelona defence and even scored the winner in a 1-0 win against Malaga. Similar to the previous tip Godin he provides a threat in the air from set pieces something Barcelona have lacked for a while. There is a danger that Vermaelen could miss this weekends game due to injury, in this case you could opt for Jeremy Mathieu (Mondogoal 7.2m) who is the most likely to replace the Belgian. It was a bizarre transfer window for Juanfran (Mondogoal: 8.2m.) After spending the 2014-15 season on loan at Deportivo the Spanish defender moved to Premier League new boys Watford before then returning to the La Liga club on loan for another season. He brings versatility to the Depor side being able to play both at right back and higher up the pitch at right wing. So far this season he has one assist coming in a 1-1 draw against Valencia. As previously mentioned in this article he will come up against goalless Gijon this weekend. Finally is Antolin Alcaraz (Mondogoal 7.3m) from La Liga new boys Las Palmas. The Paraguayan spent five years in England both with Wigan and Everton before moving to Las Palmas. He brings bags of experience and leadership in the back line. He also wins his fair share of tackles, which will give him more bonus points on MondoGoal. Las Palmas have impressed many last weekend when they drew 3-3 with Celta Vigo, they will be hoping to continue their momentum this weekend at home against Rayo Vallecano whilst also keeping a clean sheet in the process.

Attacking Potential

Taking another look back at the bookies odds they have, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Valencia, Sevilla and Las Palmas are the five most likely teams to score this weekend. With this in mind you could do a lot worse than just selecting attacking players from these five teams.

Midfielder Tips

Saturday Starting of the midfield tips is Toni Kroos (Mondogoal: 11.1m) of Real Madrid. Kroos is one of the most creative players in the league and can pick a pass with simplicity. He already has an assist to his name this season and with Cristiano Ronaldo looking in superiors form so far this season the German has even more chance to pick up some assists for himself. As it goes with Real Madrid you can never just tip one of their midfielders because they are just so good. If you don't fancy Toni Kroos then his team mate James Rodriguez (Mondogoal: 14.6m) is a good alternative. He plays higher up the field and creates a lot of chances. James also is a free kick taker and has already scored one this season. Koke (Mondogoal: 9.5m) is getting better and better in an Atletico Madrid shirt. He is a very creative player picking up 10 assists last season and 13 the one before. His vision is imperative to Diego Simone's side, creating chance after chance and seeing passes us mere mortals could only dream of pulling off. His hard work sees him making an impact down the left for Atletico and providing a danger in the final third. The Spaniard already has one goal to his name this season. Xabi Prieto (Mondogoal 8.3m) completes the list for Saturday midfielders. Prieto can play anywhere across the front line and will be looking to make an impact this weekend against Espanyol. The midfielder should see plenty of the ball this weekend and will be hoping to impact the game in the final third. Espanyol themselves have conceded the most goals in La Liga this season with nine whilst David Moyes side are yet to score in the league their game this weekend looks the perfect chance to start their account. Prieto will be hoping to play a part in this. Sunday First of all we would like to make you aware of another injury. Barcelona's Rafinha picked up an injury in Barcelona's 1-1 draw with AS Roma in the Champions League. Early reports are suggesting that Rafinha has torn his ACL and is expected to be out for the rest of the season. The first Sunday tip comes in the shape of Vitolo (Mondogoal: 6.4m.) The Sevilla midfielder is yet to get on the score sheet this season and in reality Sevilla are yet to get out of the traps. Unai Emery will be hoping the midweek Champions League win over Gladbach will give his side some confidence going into this weekends game against Celta Vigo. Vitolo provides an attacking threat and pace for Sevilla something that will be needed this weekend. He could be a great differential for you MondoGoal side. Villarreal's Manu Trigueros (Mondogoal: 6.7m) has been in fantastic form so far this season. The midfielder likes to keep the ball and dictates play in the middle of the park for Villarreal. He currently has one goal and assist to his name this season and will come up against Athletic Club Bilbao this weekend. The Basque side have been shaky at the back this season something Trigueros will be looking to exploit either with his set pieces or his shooting. Chilean midfielder Fabian Orellana (Mondogoal: 12.2m) already has two goals and an assist to his name so far this season. He provides a constant danger and likes to run with the ball, beating his man before either finishing or creating a chance for someone else. One of his standout parts to his game is his crossing ability, which will see him pick up assists this season. Celta Vigo are scoring for fun this season having scored eight so fair this season. He also takes penalties, which will see him have even more chance of scoring goals.

Forward Tips

Antoine Griezmann (Mondogoal: 9.1m) is currently looking like he can push the likes of Messi and Ronaldo for the Pichichi Trophy once again after scoring 22 league goals last season many thought the Frenchman couldn't recreate that achievement but early signs are suggesting he will. He currently has one goal and two assists to his name in the league whilst he's scored two goals in one game in the Champions League. He knows where the back of the net is and finds it with simplicity, a fantastic player who will be looking to add to his tally this weekend against Eibar. Once again Gareth Bale (Mondogoal: 12.2m) appears on our tips list. His price is just to good to turn down. Bale can change a game in an instant and has the pace, trickery and creativity to pull something special out of nowhere. He currently has two goals and three assists to his name this season and in his new role behind the striker he's starting to excel and justify the massive price tag Real Madrid paid for him. You could also look at Cristiano Ronaldo (Mondogoal: 22.8m) who this week scored eight goals in two games. Five of which came against Espanyol in the league whilst the other three were in a 4-0 win over Shakthar Donetsk in the Champions League. There isn't really much to say about Ronaldo because everyone knows just how good he is and he almost always makes it into a lot of peoples MondoGoal team. That won't be changing this weekend either! Sunday Aduriz (Mondogoal: 10.7m) is loved an adored by Athletic Club Bilbao fans. He's had various spells with the club and even at the age of 34 he still knows where the back of the net is. In his three games this season the forward has two goals to his name, he also scored four in two the Super Cup win over Barcelona. He's fantastic in the air and provides a real danger for Athletic Club. Luiz Suarez (Mondogoal: 15.4m) is now fully embedded into the Barcelona side and so far this season has two goals and one assist to his name in all competitions. He has an ability to confuse defenders with his movement freeing himself up to drive into space before coolly finishing. As we know he's a fantastic dribbler of the ball and can pick out either Messi or Neymar with ease.
