Welcome back to another La Liga Fantasy Football Tips article and what a week we endured last week. Barcelona sent shivers down the spines of fellow Spanish football clubs with a scintillating 4-0 win over Real Madrid and welcomed back Lionel Messi to first team action. The defeat was so embarrassing for Madrid it caused the clubs Hala Madrid anthem to be played around the Santiago Bernabeu at full volume to drain the boos aimed at manager Rafa Benitez and the sides poor performance. Elsewhere Malaga continued their horrific run of not scoring, they currently have five goals in 12 Premiera Division games interestingly enough they have actually conceded less goals that first placed Barcelona so it's clear where manager Javi Gracia needs to improve.

Goalkeeper Tips
Saturday:
Starting off our weekend selections is Atletico Madrid keeper
Jan Oblak (MO:10.4m, FB:6.5m) The Slovenian keeper has kept back to back clean sheets this season conceding six goals across the 12 games that have been played. Whilst in his last four games in all competitions he is yet also yet to concede. He's not only a very strong keeper who wins his fair share of points for his side but his incredibly strong defence also massively helps him out. The likes of Diego Godin and Jose Gimenez make his job slightly easier. This weekend Atletico Madrid welcomes an Espanyol side that have only scored one goal in their last five visits to the Vicente Calderon Stadium.
Sunday:
Moving onto your Sunday tips we have Frenchman
Alphonse Areola (MO: 7.9m FB:6.0m) who makes it two consecutive appearances in our tips article. Thise weekend Areola travels to Getafe. It can be a risk backing a keeper whose away from home but Villarreal tend to value a clean sheet just as much as a goal on the road, conceding six on their travels this season with three of them coming against Barcelona.
Defender Tips
Saturday:
It must be painful viewing as a Malaga fan, they can't seem to find the back of the net, which of course means you aren't going to win a game. Only five league goals at this stage in the season is diabolical and something you could take advantage of by option for a Granada defender. We like the look of
Jean-Sylvain Babin (MO:7.1m FB:4.5m) who sits at the heart of the defence. The Martinique defender provides a real danger in the air having scored two goals already this season, he's also won an average of 2.9 aerial duels per game, if the Granada set pieces are rehearsed well we could see Babin grab his third of the season.
Sunday:
Daniel Carvajal (MO:8.7m FB:6.0m) only played 31 minutes in the 4-0 El Clásico loss last weekend but did feature in the Champions League win over Shakhtar Donetsk and even managed to get himself on the score sheet with a smart left footed effort. The Madrid defence is going to have a little reshuffle this weekend as Marcelo is out an injury, which boosts the Spanish right backs chances of starting even more. Carvajal likes to overlap his winger and deliver a cross into the area but he is also good in a tackle averaging 1.7 tackles and 1.6 interceptions per game in the league.
Attacking Potential
1. Barcelona
2. Real Madrid
3. Sevilla
4. Celta Vigo & Atletico Madrid
5. Rayo Vallecano & Athletic Club Bilbao
Midfielder Tips
Saturday:
Moving into midfield there is value in Celta Vigo's
Fabian Orellana (MO:10.2m FB:9.0m) who will be looking to add to his three league goals this season. The Chilean is listed as a midfielder on MondoGoal but actually plays as a right forward in Celta's 4-3-3 formation, making him a solid OOP player. Eduardo Berizzo's side has faulted in recent weeks and their results have suffered but their side is full of attacking talent that will see at least one of two chances fall to the feet of Orellana. Celta Vigo's opponents this weekend are Sporting Gijon who only have one win in their last five games, conceding 10 goals in the process, whilst away from home they are not the strongest conceding nine goals and winning two.
Sunday:
There is an air of uncertainty around the future of Valencia manager Nuno in the last seven days Valencia have drawn to Las Palmas and home an lost 2-0 to Zenit St Petersburg in the Champions League. The fans have wanted him out for weeks but he is still around, this weekend we have opted for Sevilla midfielder
Vitolo (MO: 5.8m FB:7.5m) who comes in incredibly cheap for a regular starter in a side challenging for European football. He is yet to score or assist in the league this season but his performances have been encouraging – he did however score in the Champions League loss away to Gladbach. He possess pace, skill and flair giving Sevilla an outlet down the right.
Forward Tips
Saturday:
If you're a regular reader of our
Ligue 1 Daily Fantasty Football Tips article then you'll know
NaturalFootballFan has almost dedicated a weekly slot to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, you may see a similar section on our article for Barcelona forward
Neymar (MO: 20.8m FB:14.0m.) The Brazillian is leading the race for the Pichici with 12 goals, he's not only a contributor though laying on four goals for his fellow team mates. Neymar is probably the most in form player in the world, if not he's in the top three. In his last three La Liga games he's scored four goals more encouragingly for the Barcelona fans his performances have got better and better. He loves playing at the Camp Nou and will no doubt put on a show for the paying fans when they face Real Sociedad this weekend.
Sunday:
Finally is Rayo Vallecano striker
Javi Guerra (MO:10.7m FB:8.5m) who is only four goals behind Neymar in the Pichici race with eight goals from 10 games. He is Vallecano's go to man for goals even at the age of 33 he's putting in impressive performances and scoring regular goals. The Spaniard is very good in the air and knows where the back of the net. This weekend Athletic Club Bilbao travel to the Campo de Futbol de Vallecas having lost 2-0 to a Levante side in the relegation zone last weekend. The Basque's side away form is awful, they've conceded 10 goals away from the San Mames Stadium.
