The table below displays which teams from this slate have the best chance of a clean sheet based on their defensive form in qualifying matches and bookies odds for a clean sheet converted into an implied chance percentage:
Team Goals Conceded Clean Sheet Odds
Valencia 9* 40.00%
Liverpool 4 37.87%
Sparta Prague 5 37.74%
Sion 5 36.36%
Braga 4 35.09%
* Goals Conceded statistic taken from their Champions League qualifying matches as opposed to Europa League due to their qualification route.
Although Rapid Wien topped their group with apparent ease, their hosts Valencia remain the firm favourites to secure a clean sheet in the late kick-off fixtures. Gary Neville's side conceded the most of our top five in their six group stage matches, however, they were competing at a higher level in the Champions League. Right-back Joao Cancelo poses the greatest attacking threat from the Valencia defence and is available at a budget price on both Mondogoal and FantasyBet. This season he's tallied up three assists in La Liga and scored in both the Champions league and the Copa del Rey. Last weekend he grabbed an assist against Espanyol in Neville's league first win as Valencia boss, so will enter this fixture with bags of confidence and belief. Sparta Prague defender Jakub Brabec returns to our tips after a string of impressive performances in the Europa League qualifiers. During the group stages the centre-back scored twice and looked resolute in defence, averaging 2.8 tackles and 2.6 interceptions per game. The bookies fancy Prague at both ends of the pitch, so backing Brabec could prove a masterstroke. Reto Ziegler is our pick of the bunch from FC Sion, with a number of defenders being listed a midfielders on Mondogoal. He doesn't pose the greatest threat in attack with just a goal and assist to his name since returning to Switzerland, however, Sion looked solid at the back conceding just two at home in the Europa League group stages, their opponents Braga scored only one goal away from home in the Group stages.   Cancelo (VAL) (Mondogoal: £6.1m, FantasyBet: £5.0m) Brabec (ACS) (Mondogoal: £6.1m, FantasyBet: £5.5m) Ziegler (FCS) (Mondogoal: £6.1m, FantasyBet: £4.5m)   The table below displays which teams from this slate have the best chance of scoring based on their attacking form in qualifying matches and bookies odds to more than two goals converted into an implied chance percentage:
Team Goals Scored To Score 2+ Odds
Valencia 5* 57.80%
Liverpool 6 52.36%
Shakhtar Donetsk 7* 51.28%
Sparta Prague 10 50.00%
Sporting CP 14 45.45%
* Goals Scored statistic taken from their Champions League qualifying matches as opposed to Europa League due to their qualification route.
Liverpool travel to German side FC Augsburg tonight and with no FA Cup fixture this weekend there's no reason why Jurgen Klopp won't play his strongest side possible. Augsburg meanwhile sit in 14th position and are without a win in their last four league games, the Europa League gives both sides the chance to forget their domestic competitions and focus on the European stage. Augsburg midfielder Raul Bobadilla scored six goals in five games in the Europa League group stages and his goal last weekend against Bayern Munich was his fourth league goal of the season. The Paraguayan certainly provides a goalscoring threat averaging 2.7 shots per game in the Bundesliga. Shakhtar Donetsk fell into the Europa League having finished third in their Champions League group, the Ukrainians endured a tough spell in the competition being drawn against both PSG and Real Madrid. They will also be without their talisman Alex Teixeira who moved to Chinese club Jiangsu Suning this January. Predicting the lineup for Shakhtar is proving a difficult task as they haven't played a competitive game since the 8th of December. Brazilian midfielder Bernard will be hoping to showcase his trickery in this tie after being touted as a wonderkid for a while, but failing to live up to expectations. Teixeira may be missing but Bernard will be hoping to add to his seven assists for the season. For Schalke, former Chelsea striker Franco Di Santo could be worth a gamble, the Argentinean striker hasn't impressed in the Bundesliga but has scored five goals in five starts in the Europa League. Sparta Prague welcome Russian side FC Krasnodar, with both sides believing they have a realistic chance of progression. 34-year-old David Lafata has scored five times in this European campaign and will be hoping to add to his tally tonight. The veteran striker is a born goalscorer and has 11 goals in 17 league games this season, the previous season his tally stood at 20 goals in 30 league games. Athletic Club Bilbao striker Aduriz has scored 13 league goals this season to accompany his six goals and three assists in Europa League. It's been a rough season for opposition Marseille who currently sit in 11th place in Ligue 1 having only won two league games at home. Aduriz is a wonderfully gifted striker - especially in the air - and with the Basque side possessing quality out wide they may well use the aerial presence of the striker. Marseille struggle with crosses this season so this could be an important tactic.   Bobadilla (AUG) (Mondogoal: £6.5m, FantasyBet: £7.0m) Bernard (SHK) (Mondogoal: £7.6m, FantasyBet: £6.5m) Di Santo (S04) (Mondogoal: £3.6m, FantasyBet: £8.5m) Lafata (ACS) (Mondogoal: £7.6m, FantasyBet: £8.5m) Aduriz (ATH) (Mondogoal: £12.6m, FantasyBet: £9.5m)
