Fantasy Serie A Tips For Daily Fantasy Football Betting: March 19/20

Share post on:
Welcome to another Serie A Fantasy Football article. Tom Daniels picks out his top 5 fantasy tips for Gameweek 30. Gameweek 29 turned out to be a routine week for the top 3 as Juventus, Roma and Napoli all won their matches, leaving Juventus in the driving seat with nine games remaining. However, the Champions League qualification chasing duo of Fiorentina and AC Milan both failed to win, with a draw apiece. This allowed Inter Milan to catch up on Fiorentina and further separate themselves from AC Milan. Goals from Perisic and D'Ambrosio helped Inter Milan secure a 2-1 victory over Bologna. Finally, Carpi's impressive 2-1 victory over Frosinone helped their chance of survival as they now sit five points off safety. Here are our top five tips for Gameweek 30 all of our player prices are from our partners at Mondogoal, who provide daily Fantasy Football contests for a variety of European leagues.

Roma to triumph over Inter Milan

Roma yet again proved why they are the most in-form side in Serie A, thanks to a fairly comfortable 2-1 victory over Udinese. However, Inter Milan will probably be Roma's biggest challenge in their impressive winning streak. This is a must-win match for Inter if they want to get into the champions league spaces. One of which is occupied by Roma. So with this in mind we recommend Miralem Pjanic (£10.2m). The Bosnia International has been Roma's top provider this season with 10 assists to his name. What is also interesting is that Pjanic has scored nine goals - proving he is a perfect all-round player for picking up fantasy points. A slightly cheaper option could be Diego Perotti (£9.7m). The midfielder who sides with Pjanic has also been impressive in recent games. In his last game Perotti scored a respectable 10.95 points and with six assists to his name already, could be central in this match.

Napoli to put pressure on Juventus

This week Napoli face a Genoa side that have nothing really to play for. This could prove to be Genoa's downfall and allow Napoli to put pressure on Juventus's title challenge. With nine games left in the season Genoa are comfortably 12th, eight points off relegation. We suggest that you use this opportunity to gain some valuable defensive points. So we recommend that Jose Reina (£7.2m) is the man you put in goal. Reina has the 4th highest average points per game (keepers with 10+ appearances) for the keepers available on Sunday. Along with an already impressive 12 clean sheets, Reina would be a reliable pick for anyone's fantasy team. Along with Reina we also recommend Raúl Albiol (£8.7m) as the defender has been solid at the back for Napoli this season. Albiol has the 4th highest points tally than any other defender on Sunday and at a cheap price of 8.7m he is certainly worth the money. However this all depends on Genoa's likelihood to score. Genoa have scored a respectable 31 goals this season but conceded twice in their victory against Torino last Gameweek. With Genoa knowing they are practically safe they lack that desire to win the ball. This is not the mentality that Napoli's defence will have as they still have everything to play for. Expect a solid defence from Napoli as they look to continue their journey for a Serie A title.

Luca Toni to give Verona hope

Verona continue to amaze the Serie A, every time they look down and out they come fighting back and this time Luca Toni (£10.1m) will get them a deserved victory. The veteran striker may only have five goals to his name, but he is usually in the mix when Verona win. Toni has the 2nd best point's average for Verona and an inspired draw against Fiorentina will drive the team to a victory. While giving the striker a chance could be a gamble, if Verona put a performance in like they did against Fiorentina, it will certainly pay off.

Berardi to make an impact

Domenico Berardi (£10.5m) was supposed to be one of the break out stars in the Serie A this season and so far he hasn't lived up to the hype. Nevertheless, glimpses of the 21 year old's potential has started to show again and in recent weeks he has performed brilliantly for Sassuolo. With two goals in three games and averaging 13.75 points in those three games, he appears to have finally hit form. Berardi will be up against Udinese a team that have struggled to keep a clean sheet all season. They have the 4th worst goal difference in the league and against a rising star that is Berardi, it looks likely that their goal difference will get a lot worse.

AC Milan to beat Lazio

Both teams suffered horrible results as Lazio where knocked out of the Europa league and AC Milan failed to beat a weak Chievo side. However, we see AC Milan being the better of the two sides and expect them to bounce back with a victory. Key players like Carlos Bacca (£8.5m) and Luca Antonelli (£11.1m) will need to perform at their best if AC Milan want to get a result. A massive injury to  N'Baye Niang means he will miss the rest of the season, however Lazio lack a killer goal scorer in their team whereas AC Milan have Bacca. Bacca has failed to score in his last four games and so it may seem like a huge risk to have him as a striking option. However, with Niang out for the rest of the season it may be Bacca's time to shine again. Despite being in a goal drought Bacca has 13 goals this season and is AC Milan's 2nd highest point's earner.
