Fantasy Championship Tips For Daily Fantasy Football Betting: March 12/13

Welcome back to another Fantasy Championship five tips for Gameweek 36 article. Joe Dean returns with his top five tips ahead of Gameweek 36 in the English Championship. The relentless drama in the Championship showed no sign of slowing down with shock results and controversy aplenty in the midweek fixtures. Neil Warnock is starting to work miracles at Rotherham and their 3rd straight win against promotion contenders against Middlesbrough has the fans at the New York Stadium believing the great escape is on. Bottom of the table Bolton produced a late comeback to turn around a 2 goal deficit to earn a point against Ipswich while Leeds shocked play-off hunting Cardiff. Charlton only managed a point at home to fellow strugglers MK Dons in a game where Addicks striker Yaya Sanogo was sent off late on for an off the ball elbow. Dons manager Karl Robinson came out and said, following the incident, Sanogo should be banned for the rest of the season. A thriller at Craven Cottage ended with Burnley extending their lead at the top of the table with a 3-2 win. Bristol City manager Lee Johnson was upset by “unsporting behaviour” from Wolves which led to Kenny Jackett's side's late winner. Peter Odemwingie has joined the Robins to help keep them from relegation. Gary Rowett was also left seething at what he described as “inept officiating”. There was some rare good news for Bolton as their former striker Dean Holdsworth completed his takeover at the club, easing the administration worries surrounding the club. Cardiff forward Federico Macheda has joined Nottingham Forest on loan for the rest of the season.

Tip 1 Tigers to bite back following Cup exit.

Hull City were not part of the breathless drama of the Championship in midweek as they were on the end of a 4-0 hammering by Arsenal in the FA Cup. Now Steve Bruce can focus all of his attention on ensuring his side will be playing Arsenal next season in the Premier League. Without a win in their last 2, and with only 1 goal in their last 4, Hull need to start performing if they're to close the 7 point gap to leaders Burnley. They host an MK Dons side who will be extremely concerned by the improving form of their relegation rivals. Rotherham's 3 straight wins has left them just a point behind Karl Robinson's side, and were the Millers to better their result on Saturday, the Dons would slip into the relegation zone. Despite a strong motive to put in a performance, Hull should be too strong for the Buckinghamshire side. With the goals not flowing at the moment, a clean sheet might be a necessity for Hull to win so Andrew Robertson (MO:9.9m, FB:5.0m) and Curtis Davies (MO:9.1m, FB:6.0m) will play a vital role. If Hull are to score, in form Robert Snodgrass (MO:9.7m, FB:10.5m) is likely to have had something to do with it.

Tip 2 Warnock's Rotherham revival to continue.

3 games ago, Neil Warnock might have been regretting taking the reins at what appeared to be a sinking Rotherham ship. 6 points adrift of safety and showing no signs of life, they looked doomed. Also with their next few fixtures it looked like they would be unlikely to keep in touch with those above them. However, a remarkable turnaround in form has moved them to within a point of safety and they could climb out of the bottom 3 with a win at home to Derby. The Millers will fear no as they've picked up wins against Sheffield Wednesday and Middlesbrough in their last 2 games. Derby have been extremely inconsistent and their away form is seriously hindering their promotion challenge. The Rams have only managed 1 win on the road in the last 7 attempts and I can see them struggling in this one. Warnock sides are famously resolute at the back so Joe Mattock (MO:6.4m, FB:4.5m) and Kirk Broadfoot (MO:6.4m, FB:4.5m) will be relied on for a clean sheet. Matt Derbyshire (MO:7.8m, FB:6.5m) is aptly named for his opponents and will want to add to his 2 goals in 3.

Tip 3 Brentford to continue to struggle.

Having lost 5 of their last 6, Brentford are at risk of being dragged into an relegation battle. 8 points might sound like a healthy gap but it's at this stage of the season that lesser sides start to pick up results as they fight for survival. The Bees have lost to Charlton and Rotherham in the past week which will be concerning for Brentford boss Dean Smith. They go to Loftus Road to play an unpredictable QPR side. All season it has been difficult to predict which QPR side is going to turn up and this week has been a prime example of that. On Saturday they were brushed aside by a struggling MK Dons but on Tuesday they eased past promotion chasing Derby. Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink will be hoping that his side can find the consistency they'll need to challenge nearer the top of the table next season. Despite their erratic form, I think QPR will win this one. James Perch (MO:7.8m, FB:5.0m) is a reliable performer at Championship level and Tjarron Chery (MO:8.9m, FB:6.5m) has been the R's main source of creativity this season. QPR's top scorer Sebastien Polter (MO:3.5m, FB:7.0m) will want to add to his tally against Brentford.

Tip 4 McCormack and Dembele to keep Fulham afloat.

After so many consecutive years in the Premier League, it is unthinkable that Fulham could end up in League One next season. However, former Watford boss Slavisa Jokanovic, who was competing right at the top of the division last season, finds his Fulham side just 2 points clear of the dropzone. What they've lacked in points, they have more than made up for in entertainment. Only Burnley have scored more while only Charlton have conceded more. For those reasons, you can always expect goals at Craven Cottage. Bristol City are the visitors on Saturday and they go into the game level on points with their opponents. In what could be a real 6 pointer, I'm expecting Fulham's vaster experience to come through. Ross McCormack(MO:10.8m, FB:12.0m) and Moussa Dembele (MO:6.2m, FB:5.0m) have been lethal despite Fulham's troubles while Tom Cairney (MO:10.0m, FB:7.0m) has the potential to unlock the Robin's defence.

Tip 5 Wednesday's wobble to continue.

About a month ago, Sheffield Wednesday were comfortably in the playoffs and even dreaming of an automatic spot. 5 games without a win since then sees them clinging on to 6th by the skin of their teeth. With Cardiff, Ipswich and Birmingham breathing down their necks, there will be a lot of pressure on them when they go to the City Ground to take on Forest. Dougie Freedman's side ended a run of 4 straight defeats with a hard fought win over Preston on Tuesday. I can see them taking advantage of a Wednesday side low on confidence and grind out another result. Matt Mills (MO:7.2m, FB:5.5m) and Michael Mancienne (MO:7.6m, FB:5.0m) are good players at Championship level and will hope to keep out the Owl's forwards. Castro Oliveira (MO:7.2m, FB:6.5m) will hope he can build on the winner against Preston.
